Welcome from Bill

Years ago Randy Clark and I were spending some time together, catching up on recent events in our lives. He shared an unusual word of correction he had received from Heidi Baker in the middle of a powerful prayer meeting (She is not known for this kind of word). It was very specific, cutting to the heart in a very profound way. The word basically addressed the fact that he avoided the responsibilities of being a spiritual father. When he shared that word with me, I came under the same conviction, as though Heidi had aimed that word directly at me. I was guilty of the same thing. I repented on the spot and have been attempting to return to God’s purpose and design ever since. It is in our hearts to learn how to father a generation of revivalists who are coming alive under our teaching.

God has recently refreshed this mandate to our Bethel family, speaking through Kris Vallotton, for us to create an opportunity for leaders to belong. We believe we’re in the midst of the greatest revival in history and that the vehicle that will carry revival further is family.

It is with much anticipation that I write to you to announce the Bethel Leaders Network (BLN). The Bethel Leaders Network will aim to provide a place for leaders from every sphere of society to belong to the Bethel family and be empowered to bring heaven where God has uniquely placed them.

Our desire has never been to build a big organization; rather we are convinced that we are called to build big people. BLN is a place where global mothers and fathers can be at home and be released to raise up the next generation of mothers and fathers to take the Kingdom further.

You have been designed as a resting place for the Spirit of God. You were created to change every environment that you walk into. If you have come alive to this drumbeat of heaven, I want to invite you to consider joining us at Bethel Leaders Network.

Massive blessings!

Bill Johnson Bethel Church Senior Leader

A Word from Kris

A few years ago I heard a TED talk by Dr. Brené Brown entitled, The Power of Vulnerability. In her talk she shared the fact that we are all neurobiologically wired for connection (relationship). She said that the greatest core need of every person in the world is to feel like they belong. Later, I heard a powerful quote by Robin Williams who said, “I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel alone.” Yikes!

A year later I woke up in the middle of the night with a decree from the Lord. He said, “Create a place where leaders can belong.” I came to our team and shared the word with them. Through my tears I said, “We must find a way to create a culture where leaders feel at home; welcomed, honored, celebrated, and known.”

Everyone was immediately on board. We realized that we needed to build a completely new structure to accommodate this divine mandate. After many more months of dreaming, the Bethel Leaders Network (BLN) was born. The Bethel Leaders Network is emerging as an apostolic family of leaders who are equipping the generations to transform culture and shape history.

Therefore, we are inviting leaders who:

• Carry the DNA of Bethel and express it in every sphere of influence.

• Are committed to living from our family core values.

• Are passionate about cultivating this divine connection.

• Are serious about seeing the global expansion of God’s kingdom.

We invite you to prayerfully consider joining the Bethel Leaders Network. We would love for you to get connected more deeply with Bethel and join us in shaping history!

Much grace,

Kris Vallotton Bethel Church Senior Associate Leader

Meet Dave & Taff

In 2009 Taff and I sold everything, packed up our little family and moved from Australia to Bethel Church in Redding. We were leaders much like yourself. We had heard a new drumbeat of “Heaven on Earth” and we had come alive with hope that nothing is impossible. After attending and leading in BSSM for seven years, our lives and our children’s lives were forever changed. We are humbled and honored to serve Bethel, and the many leaders from around the world, as Directors of Bethel Leaders Network.

As we have been building a place for people to belong to Bethel, the Lord gave me a series of dreams. The meaning of these dreams was direct and very clear; the Lord is giving birth to a new generation of revivalists through Bill Johnson and the Bethel movement and we needed to create a place for them to belong. Through these dreams the Lord revealed that BLN is about raising up sons and daughters into fathers and mothers across the world. As Bill has said, “We are in the midst of the greatest revival in history and the vehicle that will carry revival further is family.”

It’s our dream that this BLN family will raise up the next generation of pioneers, cause reformation in the church and release freedom into the spheres of society. We believe they will create apostolic places and spaces that will empower every believer in their uniqueness and divine calling, to bring Heaven to earth and take the Kingdom further.

Bless you abundantly!

Dave & Taff Harvey Bethel Leaders Network Co-Directors

What is BLN?

Bethel Leaders Network (BLN) is a place for leaders to belong to the Bethel family. The goal is simple: to connect, encourage, and empower one another to live out Kingdom culture and see Heaven transform our homes, spheres and regions. BLN provides the opportunity for intentional relationship and practical resourcing from Bethel and our global family of BLN leaders. Our goal is that every leader is valued, effectively resourced and empowered to build the kingdom. We want to empower global mothers and fathers to raise up the next generation and provide a place for emerging leaders to be transformed and equipped. It is our dream that this family will raise up the next generation of pioneers, cause reformation in the church and release freedom into the spheres of society. We believe they will create apostolic places and spaces that will empower every believer in their uniqueness and divine calling to bring Heaven into earth and take the Kingdom further. There are three ways to participate in BLN: Connect, Engage and Influence. We invite you to explore further how you can join the movement.

Beliefs and Core Values

BLN Influence Leader Commitment

As a BLN influence leader, I agree and commit myself to the following standards:

I have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and boast in Him, not myself (Eph. 2:4-10).

I have been baptized in water, signifying conversion and new life in God (Matt. 28:19; Col. 2:12). I take responsibility as a disciple of Jesus to continue to enjoy my own close, obedient, loving friendship with the Lord. (John 15:1-17).

My life evidences a genuine experience of regeneration:

• the new birth (John 1:12-13; 3:3-8; I Peter 1:18-25)

• a commitment to holiness, wholeness and our Bethel Leaders Network family (Romans 6:4, 8:1-4, 13:13-14; Eph. 4:17-32, 5:1-2,15; I John 1:6-7).

I affirm the sacredness of sexuality and marriage between a man and a woman. In marriage, I will be completely faithful to my spouse emotionally and physically (Heb. 13:4).

I believe Scripture teaches that sex is a blessing to be rightly experienced only within heterosexual marriage. Therefore, I do not participate in sex outside of marriage, pornography, living as husband and wife when not married, and/or homosexuality (Matt. 15:19; Rom. 13:13; I Cor. 6:9-20).

I will follow the wisdom of the Lord by refraining from intoxication with alcohol and/or drugs (Rom. 13:13; Gal. 5:19-21).

Should I stumble in any of these areas, I will get up again with the help of the Holy Spirit and my church family. If offended, I will not abandon my commitment but will speak the truth in love and work through conflict with gentleness, grace and forgiveness (Eph. 4:1-3, 25).

I will be thankful and live humbly and honorably in all my relationships with both Christians and non-Christians, so as to be a faithful ambassador of Christ’s Kingdom (Col. 3:15; Eph. 4:1-6; II Cor. 5:20).

I will contribute to the support of Bethel Leaders Network by faithfully fulfilling my annual financial contribution on time. I will make a commitment to attend bi-monthly online revival group (small group). I will be accountable to keep these commitments and welcome correction, if need be. If the Lord seems to be transitioning me to a different leadership network or covering, I will not simply leave BLN, but agree to process this decision with my BLN revival group leader. V.

If for some reason a leader chooses conduct outside of the expressed guidelines, the BLN team reserves the right to suspend the leader’s membership for a time. This process will be overseen by the Bethel Leaders Network Executive Team, or the leader’s home oversight team, as necessary. The BLN leadership team is committed to walk through all issues with love and honor, prioritizing the protection of relationships. We will defer to the membership agreement in place when a change needs to happen. Our desire is to empower people to take responsibility for their actions and discover the root causes of behavior so they may be restored to wholeness. BLN values help and restoration above discipline and punishment.

Yes! The Influence membership is for a senior leader and their spouse. All Influence membership benefits are per household, not per person.
        For example:
        • The two sozo sessions per year included in the senior leader benefits is two per household, not two per person. How often will I hear from Bill, Kris & Dann?

BLN Influence is specifically for senior-level leaders. However, we offer other options like BLN Engage or BLN Learn, which may be a better fit.

    What about other Bethel leaders?

BLN Influence members have access to other Bethel leaders through a variety of ways:
        • Special guests in your revival group as organized by your revival group leader
        • Through BLN Online Courses • Strategic connection with Bethel speakers to invite to your church or ministry

Are speakers/teams available to come to my church?

Can I get ordination or licensing through BLN?

No. BLN is not an ordination or licensing organization.

Can I be part of another network or denomination simultaneously?

        Yes.

What type of spiritual and organizational covering does BLN provide?

We believe spiritual covering is accessed as individuals position themselves as sons and daughters to receive from spiritual fathers and mothers. The apostolic five-fold ministry of Bethel desires to be a foundation, not a capstone, for strengthening and empowering current and future leaders to take the Kingdom further.

As a BLN member, you’ll have opportunity to:

• Experience the blessing of alignment and spiritual covering with Bethel’s apostolic five-fold ministry leaders, such as Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton and other fathers and mothers of the Bethel and BLN family.

• Experience the inheritance of fathers and mothers who have forged a relationship with God and whose blessing transcends time and space.

• Experience mutual covering, strength, and support by partnering in covenant relationships with other BLN members.

BLN covering does NOT include:

• Direct, personal connection or access to Bethel Senior Leaders.

• Personal or organizational direction, management or oversight from Bethel leaders. (We expect every BLN leader to have a healthy support system in place to successfully manage their organization’s finances, ministry, and conflict resolution).

• Vetting or endorsement of a church. BLN is a place for leaders to belong.

Is BLN a denomination?

No. Bethel is not called to create a denomination, but instead to empower the whole body of Christ to bring heaven to earth. BLN exists to add strength to all leaders in the body of Christ, no matter their denomination.

Our commitment to you:

The Bethel Leaders Network Executive Team commits to foster a trustworthy leadership team that submits to the authority of the Word of God (I Tim. 3:1-13 & Titus 1:6-9, I Peter 5:17). We commit to provide a place where leaders can belong to the Bethel family and connect, encourage and empower one another to transform our world. We will encourage and empower you “for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:12-13). We will seek to set an example in speech, life, love, faith and purity (1Tim. 4:12) and accurately teach the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15). We will be approachable and teachable and create a family full of faith, hope, love and joy!
