A Masterclass from
Rory Helart
About This Masterclass
Help a generation discover who they are—and what’s possible with God.
You see their potential. You want them to know Jesus personally, find their voice, and grow into who God created them to be. But how do you build that kind of connection—especially when their choices, questions, or way of seeing the world feel unfamiliar?
In Working with Youth, Rory Helart invites parents, pastors, and mentors to discover how meaningful discipleship grows through belonging, trust, and shared life. Across five sessions, explore how to call out a young person’s strengths, give them meaningful responsibility, and make room for faith to become their own.
You’ll also consider what you bring into those relationships: your story, your experience of freedom, and the beliefs that shape how you respond when growth gets messy.
Come discover practical ways to bridge generations and nurture young people who know they are loved, recognize God’s voice, and have the courage to put their faith into practice.

About the Teacher
Rory Helart loves helping young people discover that a life with Jesus is something they can step into today. As Youth Pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, he carries a heart for students to know their identity, grow in the gifts God has given them, and bring His love into their everyday world.
Rory and his wife, Mari, have served in Young Saints since 2010 and have three daughters: Brooklyn, Harper, and Kinsley. His passion also extends to the parents, youth pastors, and leaders walking alongside the next generation.
In Working with Youth, Rory brings that pastoral heart to the moments that matter: seeing potential, building trust, and helping a young person find the courage to believe what God says about them.

Frequently Asked Questions
I care about young people, but I don’t always know how to connect with them. Is this a good place to start?
Yes. You don’t need to share every interest or understand every trend to build a meaningful relationship. Rory’s teaching centers on listening, showing up consistently, and recognizing what a young person carries. Parents, volunteers, and mentors can all find practical ways to begin connecting with greater curiosity and confidence.
Our students attend youth group, but we want them to make faith their own. Can this help our team?
That desire is at the heart of this class. Rory explores discipleship through shared life, personal example, and opportunities for students to participate. Watching together can help your team consider how young people experience belonging, where they can take responsibility, and how you can support their own relationship with Jesus.
